Product Review: Hori Hori Garden Knife

Gardening is a great pastime whether you are trying to grow food or flowers; having the right tools makes it enjoyable.

Hori Hori's Garden Knife comes with a sheath for safe storage as well as a Paper Knife for opening boxes or envelopes.

The sheath is made out of thick leather and the metal blade extends all the way through the handle with three fasteners for added strength and durability. The sheath has a loop to attach the knife to your clothing or a bag.

I really like that the blade has a ruler etched into the metal, it will not rub off and it is in inches and millimeters. The blade has two knife sides, one is serrated and the other is smooth, the smooth side needs to be sharpened but the serrated side seems to be okay for now.

I could see this product being useful for gardening, fishing, and camping.

The Paper Knife is smaller than the palm of my hand and it is easy to use, but I noticed that it would be hard to use for left handed people unless they could flip the blade around somehow. The instructions are not in English so I do not know if it is possible. The blade is sharp and I have used it for cutting through the tape on boxes without a problem.
