Product Review: Kitchen Sharp Knife Sharpener

I had several older knives that were becoming dangerously dull and I was able to sharpen them using the Kitchen Sharp Knife Sharpener.

I like that the base has a non-slip surface because it keeps the sharpener relatively still while you are using it.  The directions are right on the box and easy to follow.

Additionally, the slots: ceramic, coarse, and fine are clearly marked.

It is important to note that this sharpener is not for serrated knives or scissors.

I would recommend this sharpener for anyone who has not sharpened their knives in over a year because it works well and it does not take up very much room.

My knives were very dull, and it seems that their directions were intended more for when you are doing sharpening upkeep, so I did have to run my knives through a couple more times before I received the desired sharpness.

Product Review: BTipsy Professional Bar Set

I love having an occasional mixed drink but have not been able to make my own until now.

The set includes several of the basics needed for mixing drinks: a cocktail muddler, cocktail strainer, a double jigger, and a mixing spoon. All of the tools are made from stainless steel so they will not rust and they all seem highly durable.

                  

I would recommend this set for anyone just starting to experiment with making their own beverages. It would also make a great gift for someone who just turned 21.

Product Review: Manatee Loose Leaf Tea Infuser

What better way is there to celebrate Manatees no longer being endangered than by acquiring an adorable Manatee Loose Leaf Tea Infuser?

They fit perfectly on my small and large mugs and I did not notice any leaves getting into the tea. I believe that the set would make a great gift for the tea lover in your group of friends or family. 

The silicone is durable and helps hold the infuser in place; I was able to turn an empty mug upside down and the infuser stayed in place.

I did not experience any problems with this product so I highly recommend these infusers because the silicone does not get nearly as hot as metal infusers. Therefore, clumsy people like myself can enjoy tea without worry.

Product Review: Bear Claw BBQ Meat Forks Pulled Pork(Set of 2)

I absolutely love making chicken salad, I wish I would have received this product years ago. 

Gone are the days where I used to have to shred chicken with a fork. I was actually able to use the claws right in the skillet immediately after turning off the burner. They are easy to use but I recommend leaving the meat: poultry, beef, or pork, in larger pieces than what I did.

My only complaint was that a very small portion of one of the tips seemed to be broken off, however this did not change how well the product worked. Based off of an Amazon search, these claws are the most reasonably priced out of the variety of similar products and I highly recommend them for anyone who enjoys saving time in the kitchen.

Product Review: USB Reading Lamp

John and I do not have very much room on our computer desk but we also wanted to be able to have another light. Enter our new reading lamp.

It plugs into the USB port on our computer so it does not take up any room on the desk. It is smaller than I expected it to be but it is thankfully bright. There are two settings, an off switch, and it has a flexible, but sturdy neck so it can point where you want it to. It's also inexpensive and lightweight.

You could use it on a laptop while traveling or in an office setting.

Product Review: BBQ Gloves & Cooking Gloves Heat Resistant Set from Magiküchen

This is my first time using silicone gloves and I was really impressed by this set.

I have used them to take bowls out of the microwave and get food out of the oven. They barely get warm when handling hot foods. I really like how you can move your fingers independently despite the material being reasonably thick. The inside and outside of the gloves are textured so it would be hard to lose your grip on what you are holding.

They would be great for cooking, baking, and grilling.

My only complaint is that I feel like they could fit my hands a little better if they were proportioned differently but they serve their purpose.

Product Review: Liquid Biotin for Hair Growth by Simply Rapunzel

I wanted to try Simply Rapunzel's liquid biotin because it boasts faster absorption rates than biotin pill supplements.

Naturally, the first thing I did when I ordered the product was look at the dosage. When I looked at the bottle after receiving it, not only did it not match the dosage posted online, but it was also above the recommended daily amount. After carefully checking dosages I felt comfortable enough to try it.

It tastes subtly of vanilla and you just place it under your tongue. I have not been taking it long enough to notice too much of a difference, but I will update this post at a later date.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to friends and family until they correct the dosage information.
