Product Review: TECHEF 12 Inch Stir Fry Pan

I tend to avoid spending too much on my cookware, but this is worth the splurge for me. I would definitely try more of their cookware.

This Pan has a stainless steel handle, and the base has aluminium and stainless steel so it is supposed to work with induction stoves. I have used it with our gas stoves without issue.

The interior is coated three times in a teflon coating and the outside is coated twice so it is easy to clean.

I have used it several times in the couple weeks that I have had it and I prefer it over my other pans now, however there are a couple cons.

First, it is pretty heavy, weighing in at almost three pounds. Second, it does not come with a lid; the company sells it separately.

It is supposed to be able to withstand metal cooking utensils and scouring pads. However, I have never had the need to scrub the pan, it all comes off easily.
I really like that it comes with a lifetime warranty. I would love to try more of their products.

Product Review: Microfiber Towels from Rallt

I was a little skeptical when I first tried these microfiber towels from Rallt.

I have never used a product like this before so I did not know what to expect. They have made me a believer. Realistically, I cannot see our regular towels being phased out but these definitely have their perks.

Both of the towels are beyond soft so they would be great for using on sensitive skin. They are also less than half the weight and one eighth of the size of a regular towel.

This makes it ideal for camping, a gym bag, a diaper bag, or for having it one in the car.

They come with a case for each towel and each towel has a loop that can be unbuttoned if needed.

I tried the larger towel at the beach on the Fourth of July and did not have any problems, it absorbed water and dried quickly without taking up much room.

Product Review: DreamSky Digital Clock

Clock Screen, Madison's
shoe for scale
Timer

I really like this clock, however the instructions were a different story due to all of the errors.

The clock has an alarm, temperature reading, and timer function. They are all pretty easy to set using a two button system. The back light comes on when the clock is rotated and rotating it allows you to access the various functions.

The overall design is simple, you use the SET and ADJ button to change the date and time as well as to set the alarm or timer.

The screen is 3.2 inches by 2.9 inches and the display is clear from all angles, there is not any blurring.

This clock only runs on batteries, which I am not necessarily thrilled about but it would be great for using as a kitchen timer, a clock for workouts, reading, and more.

It is important to note that this alarm clock does not have a snooze option, you rotate the clock to turn the alarm off and it will go off again the next day.

The instructions have several errors, it appears that the writer was not an English speaker; when you are trying to cater to an American market clear instructions are important. An example of this is the feedback card in the box. "We are always looking for ways to improve ,You spoken, we will listen ." The errors are relatively minor but it is distracting when you are trying to figure out the product.

Product Review: Cocktail Shaker from Bar Brat

You do not have to drink alcohol to enjoy this kitchen gadget.

I received this product which includes a three piece cocktail shaker and a jigger with a 1 oz and 1.5 oz option.
The three pieces allow you to place ice cubes, mint, liquids, and more in the shaker. You then place the straining lid and regular lid on before shaking the contents.

I really like how snugly the pieces fit together and the BB logo looks classy, especially since the pieces all match.
You definitely do not have to use this for alcohol based drinks. It holds 24 oz so I like adding a lot of ice, freshly brewed tea, and mint.

I really liked the strainer because it prevented tea leaves and mint leaves from getting out and into the glass.

The product seems sturdy enough and I have not had any problems with it being hard to clean so far.

Overall, it has made a great addition to our kitchen.

Product Review: Chef's Star Stainless Steel Compost Bin, 1 Gallon

I have just recently gotten into trying to grow some herbs. Thankfully, I have been able to try a few products that help.

This Stainless Steel Compost Bin from Chef's Star holds up to a gallon of scraps and has a charcoal filter that makes you forget that it is even there in between uses.

It is large enough to hold at least a couple day's worth of scraps, which is great for me.

The bin is sleek and looks classy enough to keep on the counter.

I really like that the lid does not close too tightly so you can use a compost safe bag to protect the inside of the bin if desired.

The product comes with an extra set of filters but you only have to change it every six months or less.

If any problems arise I will be updating this post, hopefully it will not be necessary.

Product Review: OMG! Flax Butter from Living Healthy World, LLC

OMG! Flax Butter comes in Dark Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla, I received the Dark Chocolate flavor.

Living Healthy World advertises their product as being a great alternative to similar, more popular spreads (think Nutella). It boasts a significantly lower amount of sugar, omega 3 fatty acids, and some organic ingredients.

I am definitely not crazy about the taste. I tried it by itself and with a slice of bread but I did not really like it. I originally intended it for Johnathon's father who really loves dark chocolate and he seemed to like it a lot more than we did.

Product Review: Brieftons Glass Bottles

We rarely purchase water bottles but spilled beverages has become a problem between us and the cats.

Enter Brieftons Glass Bottles. They come in a set of six bottles and lids which have a small food-grade silicone ring.

They do not leak and  they are really durable. Luckily for anyone interested, I am a majorly clumsy. I have dropped a bottle from about four feet onto a wood floor; thankfully, it survived unscathed.

They are great for making your own dressings or drinks. I like making iced tea and then pouring some into these bottles since they hold 18 oz. I also like pouring water from our pitcher that filters it into the bottles instead of using plastic water bottles.

The glass bottle is dishwasher safe, but the manufacturer recommends hand washing the lid because of the silicone ring.

Product Review: Prosumer's Choice Indoor Garden Hydroponic Kit

I was beyond excited to be approved to try and review this product since our balcony does not get very much sunlight.

Compared to similar products, Prosumer's Choice Indoor Garden Hydroponic Kit lands close to the middle of the prices.

It has a sleek design so it fits in our small kitchen and a bright lamp with two settings.

I really like the ease of use, the instructions had great pictures and they were easy to follow. I recommend putting the bottom portion in the place you are going to place your indoor garden and pouring in the water after.

I do wish that the kit had more options, similar kits have different colors and seeds that come with them. They have a list of recommended products to use with their product as well as plant suggestions, I think it would benefit them and the consumer if there were package options.

I like the way the product is designed, the growing medium sits in the little cups with four absorbent cylinders helping to distribute some water.

The light also has a water and power indicator to let you know if the levels drop.

I planted cilantro and cat grass so I can transplant them later if they grow to large. I have high hopes and cannot wait to update with the progress.

Product Review: MLVOC Watermelon Fruit Slicer and Melon Baller

I have seen this product floating around for awhile now and could not pass up the bonus Melon Baller from MLVOC.

Most of my family members love watermelon and slicing them and getting even pieces can be a bit of a pain.

This tool has a simple design which leads it to be competitively priced and durable.

There are a few similar products that have handles that are harder to clean according to users, I like the overall ease of use. You just wipe it off and let them air dry.

The melon baller has a carver on the opposite end which is mainly for aesthetically carving fruit more than functionality.

This is one of those tools that you do not know how much easier a task would be until you have it.
