Product Review: Jxstarkid Kitty Jacket

Madison loves cats and I could not resist reviewing this product for her.

The entire jacket, except for the bottom and the bottom of the sleeves are covered in colorful kittens.

It is soft and she loves wearing it so much that she would not take it off and kept meowing.

The price depends on the size ordered; Madison's jacket was $17.99, but the larger sizes are $19.99.

I bought the smallest size which is approximately equal to a 3T or 4T. It is a little big but she will definitely grow into it.

Product Review: Purrfect Timing Clock from Infinity Instruments

If you do not immediately think of me when you see this clock we cannot be friends, sorry.

This clock is 14 inches in diameter with a golden colored hour and minute hand.
The main feature is definitely the cat for me though. Unfortunately, the tail does not move but you have the option of using the clock with or without it.

I may be a little biased as a crazy cat lady, but I think it is the greatest clock ever. I have had it on our wall with the tail attached, I like that it is a little "different."

The cat itself looks realistic and has a collar with the company's name on the tag. The numbers are clear and I have not had any issues with the clock going through batteries any faster than the one we have in the kitchen.

The tail has a hook on the end that grasps onto a little ledge on the back of the clock. It uses one AA battery that is not included with the product.

I believe this would make a great gift for the "crazy cat person" in your life.

Product Review: Foldable Storage Containers from B&C Home Goods

Storage solutions that you find in the store are not always the most affordable options, these bins are about 3.67 each.

They come collapsed and you expand them and place the bottoms in, these are essentially a little stiff pieces of cardboard that are covered in fabric that matches the rest of the bins.

This material is a light gray color that seems to be reasonably mess resistant.
The sides without the handles collapse in when the bin is not in use.

I have one bin holding some binders and papers and another holding miscellaneous items in the kitchen. Conveniently, the bins fit right above the kitchen cabinets. I imagine they would also fit on shelves made for similar bins.

I recommend these as an affordable option for storage.

Product Review: Microfiber Towels from Rallt

I was a little skeptical when I first tried these microfiber towels from Rallt.

I have never used a product like this before so I did not know what to expect. They have made me a believer. Realistically, I cannot see our regular towels being phased out but these definitely have their perks.

Both of the towels are beyond soft so they would be great for using on sensitive skin. They are also less than half the weight and one eighth of the size of a regular towel.

This makes it ideal for camping, a gym bag, a diaper bag, or for having it one in the car.

They come with a case for each towel and each towel has a loop that can be unbuttoned if needed.

I tried the larger towel at the beach on the Fourth of July and did not have any problems, it absorbed water and dried quickly without taking up much room.

Product Review: Silicone Cat Brush from CELEMOON

Our old cat brush has wire-like bristles so I was intrigued by this product since they are made out of a soft silicone.

None of the information on the package was in English but the Amazon listing is.

The one issue that I have with this product is that while it removes hair efficiently, it does not trap the hair. There were clumps of cat hair that were going everywhere when I was using it. Either there are not enough bristles to trap it or the silicone is not able to grasp it.

It removes the majority of the shedding cat hair within a few minutes which would be a major hit if it did not fly elsewhere.

Misty and Cuddles seemed to like being brushed but only for a couple minutes longer than normal, I feel like they would do a lot better after extended use though.
Another perk is that it is beyond easy to clean. I just rinsed it off and set it out to dry without an issue.

This products usability depends on whether or not you are willing to deal with the cat hair flying around and cleaning it up.

Product Review: KakoLee's Reusable Produce Bags

I have been trying to lessen the amount of disposable and plastic items that we use at home and this is a big step.

I am simultaneously trying to introduce even more fruits and vegetables into our diets. This product comes in a set of six with four different sizes. The sizes are 14" x 18", 12" x 15", 10" x 12", and 8" x 10".

The sizes are color coded blue is the largest, red, green, and yellow is the smallest. They all have a drawstring closure to keep fruit from falling out.

The mesh is really small so you do not have to worry about fruit or veggies making a mess in the back of your car or on the way into the kitchen.

Based on the Amazon listing, these bags are just under $2.50 each and it is worth the cost if you are wanting to minimize your plastic consumption.

These could also be used for small toys, dirty clothes when you are on a trip, or just about anything else you could think of- there are several possibilities.

Product Review: GikBay's S Hooks

I have gardening tools, clothes, and a few other items that I wanted to hang out of Madison's reach but did not have the means to do it so they were up on a shelf.

These hooks seem pretty durable for their size and they are small enough that they fit through the handles of various items.

I like that these are affordable and that they come in three sizes, I received the smallest size. They are also available in a set with five of each size.

Product Review: Wild Republic's Audubon Birds Blue Jay

This stuffed bird is so unique that I cannot be happier that Madison is obsessed with it.

The Audubon Birds from Wild Republic have authentic bird calls that are courtesy of The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, which I think is pretty nifty.

The collection also features other birds that children may see at a bird feeder: a cardinal, a bluebird, and a robin, are merely a few of those available.

Madison's face lit up when she woke up from her nap and saw her bird.

Wild Republic has several other awesome products available like sharks, squirrels, and toys that are holding tissues if a child is sick.

The blue jay came with a packet that has pictures of all their products and a Wild Republic jump drive that has a digital copy of this information and more pictures of their products.

If you do not necessarily want a bird you can also support the Audubon mission or learn more about birds here.

I think these stuffed animals are reasonably priced and there is a wide array of options.

Product Review: Inter Web's Cobalt Blue Spray Bottle

I dislike false advertising with a passion, and I feel like that is what happened with this product.

It is advertised as a "Blue Cobalt Glass Bottle With Trigger Sprayer" but the glass is painted blue.

I washed the spray bottle immediately after opening it because it felt dirty. I dried it immediately and put a label on it only to discover that the blue paint was chipping off.

This was within hours of receiving the product so I was really disappointed. The spray nozzle is exactly like any spray bottle that you can pick up at the store so you are essentially just paying for a bottle to have it chip off within hours.

Even if it were advertised as being a painted bottle the paint chipped off quickly so I do not recommend it.

Product Review: Lavender Essential Oil from Avenir Oils

I was running low on my lavender essential oils so I decided to give Avenir Oils a try.

My first impression was that it smells better than some of the other essential oils that I have tried and that it smells distinctly floral- there is no weird after odor.
I have used this product in baths and in diffusers and it smells more potent without a greasy feeling.

Lavender aids with relaxation and I have found that a couple drops in Madison's diffuser helps her fall asleep faster- either because she's focusing on the night light or because of the product itself.

The main difference I have noted between this brand and other essential oils brands is that these have more information on the label. It includes directions, ingredients, and a caution (see right).

The first time that I used it I accidentally used a couple drops too many it takes a lot less to be effective.

Product Review: Birdious Acrylic Bird Feeder

I love acrylic bird feeders and the Birdious Acrylic Bird Feeder is no exception.

This bird feeder came in two sections unlike the other bird feeders I have tried but the sections go together easily.

The only problem I have had with this product is that the suction cups are a little hard to put in the feeder. I found that it is easiest to place them in the slots and then twist as you pull them up.

There are two other distinct differences; first, is that it comes with an extra set of suction cups and there are also a few different sections.

The first is for water and the other two are for bird seed which sets it apart from the other bird feeders I have seen. The weight of the bird seed and water will keep the bottom half from coming out even in windy or rainy weather.

The perch is similar to the first bird feeder I reviewed but it goes all the way around.

Overall, this is a great feeder especially if you live in an apartment where you do not have a lawn. I believe it would make a great gift.
