Product Review: US Art Supply Light Box

I really wanted to try this Light Box from US Art Supply after seeing the potential for art projects for myself and family members.

This light box is fairly lightweight despite its large size. Measuring 42 x 29 x 2.4 inches; it weighs in at 19.4 pounds.

It could be used for tracing, stenciling, sketching, drawing, quilting, and more. The surface area is accommodating for big projects like quilting.

I really like the ease of changing the settings. It is kind of like the touch screen of a phone where you just tap on the power button or hold it down.

This product is easy to use and would be a great piece of equipment for aspiring artists.

The cost is a little off-putting, but the lights should last up to 50,000 hours and the surface would last equally as long if it is taken care of properly, plus there's a warranty. I am looking forward to using this and letting other people come over and work on their own projects.

I would recommend that children be supervised with this product, since it is potentially dangerous if it were broken.

Product Review: Knitting Needles Set with Case from Knitter's Choice

I have always wanted to learn how to knit and I have heard that wooden knitting needles are easier to use for beginners.

This held true in my experience.

This set includes two of each size: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 15.

All of the needles are 14 inches long and they have a little round piece of wood on the end. The points are sharp enough to knit easily but not sharp enough where children would have an issue with using them.

The needles are made with bamboo so they are light and the case makes it easy to keep them all together.

I did have a few issues with this set and, for the price, this is regrettable. Some of the needles were slightly askew, most of the larger ones are fine but it is noticeable.

Additionally, I received only one of the size 4 and three of the size 5 instead. This is mildly disappointing for me considering how much it cost it should not be an issue. Also, the case had a couple holes through the first layer of canvas fabric, as if the needles were accidentally put through it.

Despite these issues, the set is okay for myself as a beginner and I will continue using it. I may move up to a metal set when I get faster.

Product Review: US Art Supply's Stretched Canvas

This set includes six separately wrapped stretched canvases.

If you do not want to spend too much money for practicing or you have a child who wants to try different forms of art these canvases are perfect.

Each canvas in the set of six is wrapped separately so you do not have to worry about them sticking together when in the package.

Although US Art Supply is the seller, I would like to note that they are not made in the USA .

The canvases are stapled in the back and the corners are smoothly folded over and secure.

I used solely US Art Supply's products on the painting to the left, this includes acrylic paint, the canvas, and paint brushes.

Product Review: Inter Web's Cobalt Blue Spray Bottle

I dislike false advertising with a passion, and I feel like that is what happened with this product.

It is advertised as a "Blue Cobalt Glass Bottle With Trigger Sprayer" but the glass is painted blue.

I washed the spray bottle immediately after opening it because it felt dirty. I dried it immediately and put a label on it only to discover that the blue paint was chipping off.

This was within hours of receiving the product so I was really disappointed. The spray nozzle is exactly like any spray bottle that you can pick up at the store so you are essentially just paying for a bottle to have it chip off within hours.

Even if it were advertised as being a painted bottle the paint chipped off quickly so I do not recommend it.

Product Review: US Art Supply's 12 Piece Brush Set with Palette

I have always found a use for products I did not or do not like, this is no exception.

I had a few issues with this product. I tried using them straight out out of the package like I did with my first set of US Art Supply paint brushes, but they were stiff and covered in a glue to keep the bristles together.

There are 12 brushes with two of each size: flat #4, flat #8, round #2, round #4, round #6, and round #8. They all look fine in the picture, but after I washed the glue off, the bristles all looked frayed and several even fell out.

After this happened, I was nervous about using the palette that came with the set. Thankfully, it is the only redeeming item.

I nervously expected that it would just soak up all of the paint but I did not have an issue with it. In fact, I believe that they should do away with this set of paint brushes and sell the palette by itself.

The main reason this is not a scathing, unhappy review is that Madison does not care how well the brushes work, she just likes making messes with paint on paper.

Product Review: US Art Supply's Acrylic Paint Set

I have never used acrylic paint before so I was pretty excited about trying US Art Supply's set.

It includes 24 colors in 4 oz tubes. I like that there is a creamy color for skin. I found that mixing it with white or the light brown color provided the best results.

I feel like more expensive sets would yield better results, however this set is great for practicing especially if acrylic is a new medium for you.
It dries quickly but I did find that it remains a little sticky even after it dries.

I feel like most of the colors will last me awhile but white and black will run out pretty quickly.
First attempt with acrylic
I have been using this paint with my US Art Supply Acrylic Paper and Paint Brushes.

Product Review: Sacar Stationary's Pack of 120 Premium Multi-Size Chalkboard Labels

I have not been able to stop labeling things at home since I received this product.

Sacar Stationary's Chalkboard Labels comes with 8 sheets of large labels, 8 sheets with small labels, and 8 sheets of chalkboard sheets that you can cut to size.

I love that they are easy to use; they peel off of the paper easily, stick without problems, and they are reusable.

I have had to use a wet paper towel to wipe off mistakes a few times and it comes off completely and the labels do not budge.

You can use regular chalk, colored chalk, or chalkboard markers with this product. I have been using Linkyo's chalkboard markers without any issues.
