Product Review: LK Baby's Heavy Duty Trunk Organizer

We got a new car a few months ago. Naturally, we are trying to keep it as nice as possible so a big factor is organization.

Compact Size
Reflective Strip

The trunk has a lot of space so it can accommodate this large organizer, I would recommend it for larger cars, SUVS, and vans.

Right side is with the organizer's
bottom in place
There are 10 pockets for small items and 2 straps on the inside for larger items on the inside. There are also two large exterior pockes, plus clips to keep it compact when not in use.

On the outside, one long side of the organizer has a reflective strip just in case for added visibility.

The non-slip feet
According to their Amazon listing and my own measurements the organizer goes from 12 x 14.5 x 22" to 12 x 14.5 x 3" when collapsed.

I have used it for taking stuff to the lake and there is a lot of room for baby items, food, and more.

I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.

Product Review: Facial Sponges from Gold Cosmetics & Supplies

These sponges are pretty awesome, I am happy to say that they work exactly as described.

I received a pack of 50 compressed makeups sponges, they are about 3 inches long right out of the packaged. When you run some water over them they get soft in less than 25 seconds and you can use them to apply makeup or wash makeup off.

When not in use, they dry up and retain their shape and you can reuse them after running them under water again.

I really like them because they hold the water and soap while being gentle on my sensitive skin.

An entire pack could last a year or more if you sterilize the sponges in between uses. I have not tried them with my foundation because I use a liquid product and do not want to waste a lot of makeup.
I would definitely recommend them.

Product review: Keeva Anti-bacterial Body Wash

I received Keeva Organic's Body Wash at the same time as their conditioner.

Unfortunately, I have experienced similar issues. The conditioner is better than the body wash, in my opinion, but again there were issues.

For what you receive, $25 is a lot to pay. Again, some of the ingredients on the front of the bottle did not make it to the ingredients list and it was not nearly as effective as I would have liked it to be for the cost.

My skin seemed smoother for the first couple days but there seems to be no lasting benefit after extended use.

I do not say this often, but I would not recommend this product.

Product Review: Keeva Organics Conditioner

Keeva's products work pretty well at first but as I use them more I become less impressed.

Keeva is advertising their conditioner as 100% organic with all natural ingredients, but these ingredients are not listed on the back of the bottle.

I found the conditioner to be on par with my regular conditioner. The first couple times I used it my hair was less frizzy and was softer but this moisture level was not maintained over my use of the bottle.

The bottle is large and comes with a pretty hefty price tag, as far as my hair products go at just under $30.

I am slightly put-off by the ingredients list; argan oil, tea tree oil, and coconut oil are listed on the front, but tea tree oil and coconut oil are not listed in the ingredients.

In addition, none of the ingredients are listed as organic anywhere on the bottle, despite the Amazon listing giving organic ingredients prominent billing.

Product Review: Prosumer's Choice Indoor Garden Hydroponic Kit

I was beyond excited to be approved to try and review this product since our balcony does not get very much sunlight.

Compared to similar products, Prosumer's Choice Indoor Garden Hydroponic Kit lands close to the middle of the prices.

It has a sleek design so it fits in our small kitchen and a bright lamp with two settings.

I really like the ease of use, the instructions had great pictures and they were easy to follow. I recommend putting the bottom portion in the place you are going to place your indoor garden and pouring in the water after.

I do wish that the kit had more options, similar kits have different colors and seeds that come with them. They have a list of recommended products to use with their product as well as plant suggestions, I think it would benefit them and the consumer if there were package options.

I like the way the product is designed, the growing medium sits in the little cups with four absorbent cylinders helping to distribute some water.

The light also has a water and power indicator to let you know if the levels drop.

I planted cilantro and cat grass so I can transplant them later if they grow to large. I have high hopes and cannot wait to update with the progress.

Product Review: Sacar Stationary's Pack of 120 Premium Multi-Size Chalkboard Labels

I have not been able to stop labeling things at home since I received this product.

Sacar Stationary's Chalkboard Labels comes with 8 sheets of large labels, 8 sheets with small labels, and 8 sheets of chalkboard sheets that you can cut to size.

I love that they are easy to use; they peel off of the paper easily, stick without problems, and they are reusable.

I have had to use a wet paper towel to wipe off mistakes a few times and it comes off completely and the labels do not budge.

You can use regular chalk, colored chalk, or chalkboard markers with this product. I have been using Linkyo's chalkboard markers without any issues.

Product Review: Hori Hori Garden Knife

Gardening is a great pastime whether you are trying to grow food or flowers; having the right tools makes it enjoyable.

Hori Hori's Garden Knife comes with a sheath for safe storage as well as a Paper Knife for opening boxes or envelopes.

The sheath is made out of thick leather and the metal blade extends all the way through the handle with three fasteners for added strength and durability. The sheath has a loop to attach the knife to your clothing or a bag.

I really like that the blade has a ruler etched into the metal, it will not rub off and it is in inches and millimeters. The blade has two knife sides, one is serrated and the other is smooth, the smooth side needs to be sharpened but the serrated side seems to be okay for now.

I could see this product being useful for gardening, fishing, and camping.

The Paper Knife is smaller than the palm of my hand and it is easy to use, but I noticed that it would be hard to use for left handed people unless they could flip the blade around somehow. The instructions are not in English so I do not know if it is possible. The blade is sharp and I have used it for cutting through the tape on boxes without a problem.

Product Review: MLVOC Watermelon Fruit Slicer and Melon Baller

I have seen this product floating around for awhile now and could not pass up the bonus Melon Baller from MLVOC.

Most of my family members love watermelon and slicing them and getting even pieces can be a bit of a pain.

This tool has a simple design which leads it to be competitively priced and durable.

There are a few similar products that have handles that are harder to clean according to users, I like the overall ease of use. You just wipe it off and let them air dry.

The melon baller has a carver on the opposite end which is mainly for aesthetically carving fruit more than functionality.

This is one of those tools that you do not know how much easier a task would be until you have it.

Product Review: Scotch Porter Beard Balm

John's beard is going to be Gimli-esque soon.

He has been using the Scotch Porter Beard Wash in conjunction with the Beard Balm for over a week now and if nothing else his skin underneath seems, according to him, "less itchy."

I will take it. His beard looks better and feels softer after giving the products some time time to work. I am unsure if this is a result of the products themselves or if it is mainly because he is washing his face more often.

Overall, I like the Beard Balm better than the Beard Wash. While the wash smells like a generic soap, the Beard Balm has a rustic smell to it that John and I both like.

The Scotch Porter Beard Balm is available in 3 oz and 6 oz containers.

Product Review: DuoBoard from Pratico Kitchen

I was really excited about receiving this product but I have had a few problems with the DuoBoard.

DuoBoard Serving Side

The board is sturdy at 14 inches x 11 inches x 0.75 inches and it weighs about 3 pounds. Bamboo cutting boards are awesome because unlike glass and plastic they will not dull knives.

These boards are all natural bamboo so each board is unique and the two sides are distinctly different.

The serving side is a dark color and the cutting board side is lightly colored with the Pratico logo and a built in groove to catch moisture from the food you are cutting.

As shown in the picture, there is a large ridge in the cutting board I received, a quick Amazon look revealed that many other users also received similar cutting boards that were warped.

In order to use the cutting board without it bouncing up and down I have to put a rag under it. I was not very happy with the serving side either, instead of looking rustic it just looks scuffed up.

The product is usable but it could definitely be improved upon.
